Too little, too late

The Washington Post's photo of Scott McLellan, paired with their story on his new book -- what a beautiful example of photo bias! Way to cast this asshole into the darkness of his own soul, WaPo!

Seems little Scotty "they told me what to say!" McLellan thinks he can put out a book claiming that President Chimpy "misled" the American people about the Iraq debacle.

WOW. Tell me something I don't know, Scotty. For instance, tell me how you woke up every day and faced your own lying self in the mirror. Tell me how you somehow managed to cash your paycheck every week, despite the fact that you KNEW your boss was, in your words, creating a "poisonous atmosphere in Washington" by using propaganda and lies to sell a war. Tell me all about the emotional toll of standing by and defending Bush, Cheney, and LeCondel, even as they spun their webs of lies and took this country into the shitter.

My heart fuckin' bleeds for you, Scotty.
Sadly, like all the political tell-alls that inevitably follow resignations, it's just a little too little, a little too late.

Damn straight.

He is PART of the problem.

He's still gonna burn in hell for his part in selling the war.

Exactly right (and good call on the photo, too!). I have to admit that I'm dying to read the book, but I'm on the waiting list for it at the library, there's no way I'll pay money for it (but as I commented elsewhere, if there is ANY justice at all, he'll need the proceeds for a top legal defense team when indictments are handed down)

My sentiments exactly.

Dean--exactly, just like Perino and Snow and all the other paid liars. I don't believe in heaven or hell, but I hope I'm wrong about hell so Cheney and Bush and all their cronies and minions will have someplace to go where they'll finally get what they truly deserve.

CDP--yeah, there's no way I'm giving him a penny. I'll just have to wait for it at the library (if I read it all).

Bradda--"he blames the media"--exactly! And they will all do that, as the truth about this sorry administration becomes more and more fleshed-out. But the guy is like the proverbial rat leaving the sinking ship: You can't blame him for wanting to survive, but he's still a fucking rat.

Dr Monkey--I know that in a Monkey/Love administration, this kind of lying and assholery would not be tolerated. MONKEY/LOVE 08!

don't make the libraries buy his book. do you know how many libraries there are in this country and how much money he'll make if only the libraries buy it? still too much if you ask me.

I hate to sound cynical about this but when the story broke I remember thinking "who cares". I get all the outrage and anger but I just can't bring myself to care because it is stuff we already knew. The only think I find shocking is that insiders don't usually write books.

I might read it when it hits the clearance rack at Barns and Noble but to me it's kind of like watching the movie Titanic. I knew the boat sank. I didn't need to see the movie.

Just my thoughts.
