Bhutto assassinated

Benazir Bhutto's been killed in Pakistan. I know her administration was corrupt as all get-out, but she was also a symbol of hope in that country. She wasn't Bush's pal like Mushareff is.

UPDATE: Is it just me, or is it strange that McCain made a statement (just on Fox Nazi Channel) before Bush could sober up to make his statement? Why would they air his statement, in which he discussed what he would do if he were president (meet with advisors, Ntl Security Council, blah blah) right now, before the actual president's statement? WTF?

I can't help but think that events around the world are linked, as though a grander plan is being put into motion. The Russians are test-firing their latest nuke missile, Musharef's eliminating his enemies (most likely with BushCo's approval), Israel is showing aggression (as usual). The Turks are bombing Iraq.

A friend said to keep an eye on oil supplies: prices went up yesterday. Again.

I worry that what's happening in Pakistan--suspended elections, political unrest caused by assassinations and other machinations--is just a dress rehearsal being run for the benefit of BushCo. Testing the waters to see what will happen if BushCo tries this same strategy in 2008.

Watching all this unfold makes me a bit concerned for the next Democratic Presidential candidate. Will they meet the same fate if it becomes obvious that the Dems will win the election? Something to think about...

It is scary indeed...

ME, you read my mind. As I commented on another blog, I'm worried that this is just a dress rehearsal for what BushCo will do to stay in power.

Oh don't worry. There won't be an election on November 4, so it's a moot point. Evil people don't willingly take the chance of losing power.

randal- I know, first Musharareff steals Bush's martial law plan, and now this. Thing is, Bush will blame al Qaeda for doing this and give him more excuses to play the "be afraid, be very afraid" card he and the GOP like to use so often.

Who cliamed her administration was riddled with corruption? People like Bush and Musharaf, the same people who had her killed. And yes, this is a dress rehearsal for them seizing power again in 2008.

Things seem quiet now--wonder what is going on in DC, at the CIA, on the phones between BushCo and Musharaff.

I put out a list of reactions to Bhutto's death on my blog a little while ago. As of yet, there has been no comment from Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul. If they want to run for President, they had better start acting like one. This is no time to be silent. I checked both of their websites and there was nothing. Unless I missed something on the internet, and I don't think I did...they are not making comments.

Fred Thompson made his remarks on Fox also. They were horrible, it seemed as if he could care less, no sympathy at all for her, her family members, or her followers. That guy is such a slug.

I wouldn't put it past them. I've been concerned for awhile that Bush won't want to leave in 2009. This may be just the excuse he's looking for.

When Cheney was lying about Saddam's nuclear abilities and Bush lying about the situation in Iran, I knew that the real possibility of Islamic radicals getting a bomb is if Musharraf loses his grip on Pakistan.

All valid comments, especially re Condi. Just more proof that this administration doesn't know WTF is going on.

I think this administration knows exactly WTF is going on. They just have dramatically different goals than the rest of us.

I just read this morning that Benazir Bhutto was slated to visit Snarlin Arlen (Specter) and Patrick Kennedy to give them a report showing new evidence that Musharraf and the ISI were going to rig the election between herself and Pakistan's current dictator. She never gave them this evidence because she was killed a few hours before this meeting was to take place.

Rigged elections... martial law declared by using Bush's NSPD-51 strategy... the secrecy of the CIA and ISI... the private military of the executive.

The similarities between the governments of Musharraf and Bush should have us all very nervous for what is to come as the end of Bush's legal term comes closer.

Unless we can impeach and get their asses out of office before their plans (whatever they may be) are enacted...
