Fiftieth verse, same as the first

Guess what, Amurkans! Bushco's little stooge David Betrayus has just come out with a new song that goes something like this:

Said 'Murkans, take it slow
It'll work itself out fine
All we need is just a little patience
Said soldiers, make it slow
Iraq'll come together fine
All we need is just a little patience
Patience...Ooh, oh, yeah
How about those deep and meaningful lyrics, folks? Let's give 'em a big round of applause!

What's that, you say? You think you've heard this song before? Well, let's check the American Bandstand archives!

Let's take her back to 2005:It's got a good beat, and you can dance to it! Besides, any song that links Iraq with 9/11 is music to our ears! Like with every successful band, people just wanted to hear more!

Let's try 2007, and a full 1 year and 9 months later:
I guess some songs just won't die!

And now, the Little General Who Couldn't tries to pass the same old shit off as a brand-new song:

So how will our dancers rate this record? Only time will tell--just be patient!

One thing's for sure: While Amurkan tastes in music might accept this reprocessed bullshit, apparently the Iraqis are looking for a new sound:

Now there's a song you can sing along with.

Hiya dguzman!

This war will never end when we have Democrats in the House who absolutely refuse to quit funding it. Majority means nothing when you vote with the minority. I blame our Democrats as well as the Republicans for this war continuing as long as it has.

Oh no, more references to William Bruce Rose! I sure hope Perfect Pete's handlers were smart enough to drop the 'six more months' deal. Though that belongs more to the talking hairpiece set.

Amen sister.

ME--where have you been!? Yes, the blame falls on both sides, but this bullshit about "patience" is nothing more than "stay the course" in fewer words, and that pisses me off.

Randal--I'm sure he's stopped committing to any timeline, though of course the talking hairpieces wouldn't hold his feet to the fire even if he did.

Dr. Monkey--so exasperating.

I listened in this morning for about 20 minutes and had kill my browser. My ears started hurting from the intense drum-beat.
It's irritating that they call for MORE time & patience when it's someone else's clock ticking.... bastards.

Well, I see somebody didn't take her patience pills this morning.

All we have to do is figure out a way to move Iran a little farther away from Iraq, and everything will be fine.

Admittedly, changing geography is difficult, so some patience is required. Also, there's the whole Sunni majority in both countries problem, so even moving Iran might not help so much. All the more reason to have some patience.

What's hard to understand about that?

At least the General was honest--you can not say that about Obama or Clinton. They are flat out lying to the public about almost everything including ending the war. We need someone from outside the beltway.

Second verse,
Same as the first!

Rick said, "At least the General was honest..."
Honest in what? Equivocating?
Petrayus is just one more ambitious General who'll gladly suck Bush & Cheney's dick for a shot at the top of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
The only honest generals we have are those who either quit or got fired for refusing to back this unwinnable war.

ME--where have you been!

I've been in a galaxy far...far...away, but I've returned to save our planet. It's a freakin' mess, isn't it?

Targa--welcome to the blog!

Matty Boy--I guess I didn't take my Xanax with a shot of gin, like Pickles does. Then maybe I could wait patiently on your theory of continental (or country) drift.

Rick--they're all liars, just trying to keep their jobs. Betrayus is no more honest than any other guy who's put on the hotseat when his dept is doing shitty work. I just wish we could somehow fire them all and cut their access to our money, and bring our troops home.

Dr Z--you got it!

Karen--I agree. I'm tired of "we've made gains, but they're fragile! so we can't leave now!" They're the embodiment of doing the same thing over and over and yet expecting different results. Morons. Insane morons.

Nunly--so glad you're back! This planet needs saving!

If I hear we've turned one more corner, I'm gonna puke.

I always thought "This is the song that doesn't end" was just an annoying children's song, but sadly, no.

Maybe with a Dem in the White House, the House Dems might stop being so afraid.
