My thoughts on the Tiller murder

Imagine you were sitting someplace in public, just having a lemonade in the park or listening to the preacher in church, when someone came up to you and killed you. For doing your job.

Dr. George Tiller was killed because he did his job--providing a particular medical service to women -- a perfectly legal medical service, I might add.

This thing just pisses me off. There don't seem to be enough doctors like Tiller left. It's terrorism and it's not being treated as such.

I want to see some anti-abortion folks in Gitmo.

Domestic Terrorist is what the killer is..and the sumbitch should be tried as one.

Dean--very true--the man was threatened and attacked many times before this guy finally made good on his desire to kill Tiller. To me, that's the definition of terroristic threats.

Dusty--yup.

I'd like to see the Southern Poverty Law Center, or lawyers that went after Tom Metzger and the Klan after the killing in Oregon go after these terrorists and the people that incite them.

Kirby--that's a good idea. It's the same kind of thing--a hate crime.

It's only terrorism if done by someone swarthy. Duh.

As tragic as Tiller's death might have been, what about the death of William Long and the wounding of Quinton Ezeagwula, soldiers whos only motive wa to serve their country hen a Mad Islamic Fanatic opened fire on them? [Link: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,524139,00.html]

At least Tiller had a VERY RICH and LUCREATIVE life. Long will never live to see the good of anything he did in his short life. Ezeagwula faces a possible useless long life in the hospice. Their cowardly assassin, Bledsoe, faces a long pampered life at Arkansas' expense.

As per Tiller, I would have preferred to see him leave this world in a state befitting of his work, in an end similar to the Philosopher Nietzsche. Tiller did not deserve a Martyr's Death.

Where is the Justice?
