An informal poll

Do you think President Obama will win a second term?

Nope. And as far as I'm concerned, he doesn't deserve one.

He's been a miserable failure. Doesn't he know that pretzeldents are supposed to *spectacularly* blow The Other of the Week up?

Depends on who's nominated on the Republican side. A Mitt Romney might beat him, Sarah Palin, not so much.

I don't feel Obama is a failure; he hasn't been as bold as we would have liked or as he led us to believe he would be; but when you think of the alternatives, the idea of him not being re-elected is pretty scary, especially if we're talking Sarah Palin as the candidate that beats him.

I'm guessing yes. The GOP might be sending crackpots to Congress, but I don't see one who can actually win the White House.

Dr. Monkey--I don't think so either, but I'm still hopeful. It'll be close either way.

Randal--and it's disappointing.

Mauigirl--but Mittens Romney as president? Goodbye, gay rights. Of course, I'd take him a million times over Palin.

Abu--let's hope.

Mittens had his chance, and the Republicans went with McCain anyway. Now that the Teabaggers are dragging Republicans to Crazy Town, Obama gets a second term. I'm pretty much with Mauigirl. I don't buy into the media's argument that he's been a failure so far, there has been progress, but unless it happens overnight and comes with a pink pony, the media will still scream failure from the mountaintop.

Kirby--I tend to kinda laugh at the idea of throwing Mittens out there again; there's no way he can win. Obama may well win a second term, but only because his opponents will just blow up during debates or become caricatures of what they think the teabaggers want. I do think there's been some progress, and I agree that it's going to take a long time to dig out of the Bush-Cheney hole; that's the only reason I have any patience left with Obama.

GMB--I worry that some kook like Palin will get elected thanks to all that disgust. But I hope it's just a worry, not a reality.

Well I am disappointed in a lot of Democrats for being so fucking centrist and scared of the 20% wacko nutbaggers out there (formally known as hard right republicans). He would be better than any republican BUT we deserve much more than he gave us.

dguzman: Palin will not be president. The GOP doesn't trust her and she would be bored within the first six months. Won't happen. Now she may run, but only if she sees the opportunity to make even more money. But I honestly don't think she will. It's going to be the usuals: Mitt, Newt, Tim Pawlenty, etc.

No Way!!! Even Sarah Palin would be a better Socialist than this BUM!!!

BTW: Your Original Blog Name was Impeachment and Other Dreams. Do you intend to reuse this blog name or can I?

Liberality--yeah, WE deserve more, but the idiots who voted in the repug bums in November pretty much screwed us over.

GMB--I hope you're right about Palin. I wish we really could get a legit 3rd party candidate, but I just don't see it happening.

Judy--My blog is still officially Impeachment and Other Dreams in the web address, so--no, sorry, you'll have to come up with something else. Thanks for asking first, though!
